Immortelle Skin was not created all at once. It was shaped slowly—rooted in a deep appreciation for the intelligence of plants, the rhythm of nature, and the sense of balance I’ve always found within it.

As a child, I was fascinated by the idea that plants could heal, mixing them into “potions” that felt like magic.

That fascination deepened years later, during a day spent guided by an herbalist in the mountains of North Carolina. Walking among botanicals, learning their properties, and wild harvesting what we would later transform into remedies—something shifted.

Those same hands that once played kitchen apothecary began experimenting more intentionally, creating early herbal blends and foundational formulations.

I became an esthetician, drawn to the science of skin—the biology, the chemistry, the way it responds and adapts.

But I was quietly disappointed by what mainstream skincare offered: formulas that often corrected on the surface, without truly supporting the skin beneath.

I continued my path as an educator, bringing science to life in the classroom.

But no matter where I went, I kept returning to this.

To plants.
To formulation.
To the question of how these worlds could work together more intelligently.

Time spent attending workshops and studying the science behind what herbalism has long understood drew me deeper into research—working between two worlds that rarely overlapped.

There was a divide.
One path for herbalists.
Another for cosmetic chemists.

I was drawn to the space in between.

I experimented relentlessly, working to bridge what was often treated as separate.

That became the foundation.

I pursued advanced formulation training—bringing together plant knowledge and skin science with greater clarity, precision, and intention.

I began to see what was possible:

That skincare didn’t need to rely on correction.
That it could be built around support.

That formulas could work with the skin as it shifts—rather than forcing it into a fixed state.

I had grown tired of rigid routines that promised balance, yet often created the opposite.

And care should not be either.

This became the foundation of Immortelle Skin: a system of botanical formulas created not for fixed skin types, but for changing skin states—designed to layer, rotate, simplify, and deepen as the skin’s rhythm shifts.
